Up to £50,000 + benefits

MVP is partnering with a progressive, multiple-award-winning logistics business to recruit a Transport Manager to join their growing operations team at one of their distribution centres in Gloucestershire.

This newly created role comes as a result of continued growth and a new contract win, offering the opportunity to make a real impact within a successful, expanding 3PL operation.

As Transport Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day transport operations across the site, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency, while driving continuous improvement and supporting a high-performing team. You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager and wider site leadership to deliver excellent service to customers and maximise operational performance.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage daily transport operations, ensuring KPIs, budgets, and customer requirements are met.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop your team, promoting engagement, recognition, and career growth.
  • Drive a culture of safety excellence and compliance with transport, H&S, and HR regulations.
  • Own and optimise the transport P&L, working with divisional managers to meet financial targets.
  • Implement and improve transport strategies, processes, and systems to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with operations, planning, and commercial teams to drive integrated solutions.
  • Embody and promote the company’s core values.
  • Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience managing a site-based transport operation, ideally within a 3PL environment.
  • Strong people leader with experience developing high-performing teams.
  • Commercially astute with P&L responsibility experience.
  • National CPC holder with sound knowledge of transport legislation.
  • Skilled in using Transport Management Systems and other operational tools.
  • Excellent communicator, proactive, and hands-on.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement and operational innovation.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH or Safe Systems of Work training desirable.

If you’re a proactive, results-driven transport leader who thrives on creating safe, compliant, and efficient operations while developing people and processes — we’d love to hear from you.
