MVP’s client is an award-winning, people-focused logistics provider operating a substantial UK-wide network. As part of an exciting growth and transformation programme, they are investing heavily in their central transport planning capability and are now seeking a high-calibre National Planning Manager to lead that journey.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a developing national planning function, leading a team whilst driving the transition from site-led planning to a fully centralised model. You'll have genuine influence over network optimisation, vehicle utilisation, customer synergies, operational performance and the adoption of technology that will shape the future of the business.

The Role

Reporting to senior leadership, you will:

•    Lead, develop and mentor a central planning team.
•    Drive planning excellence across a national transport operation.
•    Identify opportunities to improve vehicle fill, route efficiency and network utilisation.
•    Support the continued rollout and optimisation of Transport Management Systems and planning technology.
•    Use data, MI and operational insight to drive performance and continuous improvement.
•    Build strong relationships across operational, commercial and customer-facing teams.
•    Deliver initiatives that enhance service levels, customer satisfaction and profitability.

About You

We're looking for an accomplished transport planning professional who can demonstrate:

•    Significant experience within transport planning, ideally in a multi-site or national operation.
•    Previous leadership experience within a planning or network planning environment.
•    Strong understanding of TMS platforms and transport optimisation.
•    A track record of driving operational improvement and positive change.
•    Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
•    Strong commercial awareness, analytical capability and leadership presence.

What's on Offer

•    Competitive salary package.
•    Car allowance.
•    Performance-related bonus (non-contractual).
•    25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
•    Life Assurance.
•    Health and wellbeing support for you and your family.
•    Enhanced family-friendly policies.
•    Employee discounts.
•    Genuine opportunity to shape, influence and develop a critical national function.

If you're looking for a role where you can make a visible impact, lead change and help shape the future of a growing logistics organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
