Due to expansion within our client’s business they are currently looking to hire an Operations and Sales Manager to manage the day to day operation of the company. From pricing and organising deliveries to being on site to receive the deliveries you will manage all activities. You will be responsible for the incoming supply of produce and ensuring it is of the right quality when delivered to customers.

Your primary function is to manage the day to day operations

  • You will be responsible for the ordering, receiving and managing products to meet the needs of sales activity and customer orders
  • You will recruit and manage your own staff
  • You will be responsible for the premises and you will ensure the operation is safe, clean and tidy and does not disrupt others on site

You will liaise with clients arranging deliveries as required

Follow up new business opportunities, respond to and follow up sales enquiries by post, telephone, and personal visits

Produce and submit quotations, following up promptly

Work with the other members of the team to ensure contracts are fulfilled

Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team

Maintain and develop a computerized customer and product data base

Be the central point of communications for the employees at the business ensuring that any requests, queries or complaints are distributed to the relevant Manager and all enquiries are followed up within agreed targets. This includes maintaining and developing a system to ensure these are all documented appropriately

Ensure that invoices for goods are received and checked for accuracy

Ensure the collection and easy retrieval of all relevant information relating to deliveries to enable the accurate calculations of the cost of deliveries including development of live feed information for accounts and production at different sites

Identify any short fall in supply involved in the delivery of products to the client, this must be dealt with as a priority


The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a team, working with customer, coordinating sales activity and have confident in their team leadership ability.
