The role…


Developing, implementing and reviewing the regional strategic and tactical plans with the Regional Leadership

Team, ensuring alignment with the HR strategy and the company strategic plan as well as involvement in developing and implementing the business-wide HR strategy

Leading the Regional Leadership Team in the following areas; talent, reward, employee engagement, capability and performance, competitiveness, change management and employee and labour relations

Championing the people agenda and building capability at all levels within the Region

Supporting and coach the General Manager and his team on all people related activities

Implementing people strategies and development plans that have a positive impact on building the capability of the Region

Leading, motivating and inspiring the HR team & the Occupational Health Advisor

Implementing and supporting the development of national initiatives and projects including health & wellbeing, learning and development, benefits and restructures

Ensuring effective communication across the Region via multiple channels with much of the workforce being offline

Providing the tools, systems and processes that support a high performance culture across all levels and groups in the Region

Role modelling the Company’s leadership and core values and behaviours, coach and instil them in others



The candidate…


Will ideally be a MCIPD or have a relevant HR qualification, although not critical if the individual has operated in a similar size/scale of business within the HR function of a distribution centre or manufacturing environment.


Unionised experience would be an advantage, although not essential.
