Our retail client is going through a major period of transformation and development and as such is looking for an experienced retail project or programme manager to establish, own and deliver a number of exciting Supply Chain & Logistics strategic initiatives.
Key accountabilities and measures:
Establish and manage the plan for a number of initiatives ensuring dependencies, risks, timelines and resource requirements understood and actionedEnsure that the programme / initiative objectives, scope and business case are clearly articulated and signed up to by the appropriate business stakeholdersProvide direction and management to project leads to ensure timescales and deliverables remain to planWork with the project leads to define the appropriate governance structureMonitor and review project performanceCollate and report project status to Supply Chain and Logistics Leadership teamCarry out quality monitoring and assurance ensuring project health checks and post-project reviews are completedGovern pipeline of activities - Identifying, selecting and prioritising new projects, including involvement in benefits management and business cases, contingencies etcSupport Supply Chain & Logistics Leadership Team in delivering development agenda
The ideal candidate will have the following technical experience/skills:
Experience as a Programme / Project ManagerFamiliar with industry good practice Programme Management methods (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP)Demonstrate understanding of working in a matrix-management structureUnderstanding of delivering business and IT change programmesDemonstrate good communication skills and ability to manage senior stakeholdersExperience in Retailing - preferable with an understanding of Supply Chain / LogisticsMicrosoft applications including - Project / PowerPoint / Excel etc.Articulate programme benefits from a commercial perspective and understanding of how each work stream contributes to the business caseAble to drive programme improvement and efficiency through implementation of best practice and new and emerging techniques and strategies
