Fleet Maintenance Controller
£competitive salary and benefits including access to pool car as required
Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:30 + required to be “on-call”
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fleet Maintenance Controller to join a successful specialist transport business (fuel tankers) operating throughout the UK. Reporting to the Fleet Manager, you will look after all UK sites’ maintenance requirements and will become part of a friendly, successful team. You’ll have responsibility for all day to day operations of the fleet ensuring that all trucks and tankers are legally compliant, proactively managing all aspects of fleet maintenance. You will be required to be on call to support and resolve any fleet issues. Responsibilities will include:
Dealing with breakdowns in a timely mannerPlanning all preventative maintenance inspectionsArranging, managing and authorising Fleet repairsManaging security and H&S inspectionsBooking MOT/ADR tests, vehicle inspections, brake testsOrdering and installation of cab equipmentControl of service providers and issuing non-conformity reportsManage manufacturer’s warranty processes, policies and proceduresCost control, balancing customer requirements with commercial awareness
Suitable industry qualifications / time served to demonstrate experience within the industry. Background in engineering, commercial vehicle, tankers would be an advantagePET REG knowledge / awarenessA good general level of vehicle knowledge. Ideally with HGV and or Tanker experience.Ability to control maintenance costs and challenge if necessaryBusiness standard IT skills, including ExcelExcellent communication and customer care skills
