My client is looking to recruit a Commercial Manager who will have the opportunity to directly impact on both customer satisfaction and cash profit. Reporting to the National Account Controller and based out of a fast moving distribution centre environment you will be responsible for maximising new business opportunities and managing and delivering the tender process through to completion.
About the role:
· Management of all bids and proposals to potential new customers
· Tender writing
· Critical path management
· Oversee all pricing activity for specific contracts
· Rebate analysis
· Monitoring and management of stock
· Oversee all efficiency and margin initiatives
· Supplier negotiation
· Identify new business opportunities
To be successful in this role you will possess an excellent knowledge of the Foodservice Market, and a proven track record of successfully writing and managing tenders. You will need to be analytical with an excellent working knowledge of systems especially Excel. The role will include regular travel between business sites and to customer sites across the UK as required so flexibility is essential in the role. An effective communicator you will need to build strong working relationships internally and externally and have a passion for customer service.
