Commercial Support Manager (Office-Based)

MVP’s client is a dynamic, agile and fast-growing logistics consultancy business. With an excellent reputation within the sector, they are experiencing huge demand for their expertise and solutions across warehouse design and re-configuration, inventory management, supply chain planning, vehicle fleet profiling and optimization of existing processes. They have a very strong client list including many household names and big-hitters in the world of logistics and supply chain.
They are now looking to add to their existing team by appointing a Commercial Support Manager, who will be responsible for the Commercial and Operational development of the business. Working closely with the Managing Director and Consultancy team, you will have ownership of the sales administration process and pipeline management, initially with SME clients.
Qualifying initial enquiries, identifying the appropriate consultant to carry out the sales visitManaging the deal stage process within CRMManaging client expectations, negotiating through to order stageDay to day management of the Office AdministratorPoint of contact for support on live projects for both consultants and the clientProvide monthly/quarterly management reportsProvide market feedback regarding competitive offerings, generate product/service development ideasAttending trade exhibitions as part of the team on the stand
Experience and skills required:
[*] Excellent existing knowledge of the Logistics and Supply Chain sector – able to understand, develop and explain technical logistics and supply chain concepts and solutions
[*] Commercially minded, great organizational skills
[*] Able to quickly digest and filter sales enquiries and direct them to the most relevant person within the business
[*] Exceptional customer service skills – able to build and maintain strong customer relationships
[*] Able to structure and write commercial proposals, business reports and presentations
[*] Well developed, naturally strong verbal communication skills
[*] Proficient with IT systems and software – MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, CRM (Hubspot ideally)
