£28 – 30,000 depending on experience and skills

Monday to Friday – days-based position

MVP is partnering with a fast-growing business with ambitious future plans and an excellent workplace culture.  The group’s logistics operations are integral to providing its clients with a seamless delivery service and, to further develop its operations, the business is now looking to appoint a Transport & Operations Coordinator to join its team.  Working closely with the Transport Manager, you’ll support the delivery of a compliant, efficient delivery operation.  You’ll be responsible for the following:

• Planning delivery routes for drivers
• Conducting thorough driver debriefs and ensuring adherence to all processes
• Ensuring accurate completion of driver documentation
• Carrying out driving license checks
• Scheduling and following the vehicle servicing planner
• Promptly addressing vehicle defects and managing breakdown callouts
• Maintaining active communication with drivers to swiftly resolve on-road issues
• Supporting the warehouse operation as required

What You’ll Bring:

• Previous experience in a fast-paced logistics / transport distribution setting (FMCG, retail, food etc)
• Really strong communication skills
• Proven ability to establish and nurture strong relationships with customers, drivers, colleagues and senior management
• Solid understanding of distribution and warehousing processes
• Flexibility to adapt and work in a pressurised, changing environment
• Ideally – knowledge of transport legislation / Working Time Directive (WTD)
• Strong knowledge of the London area from a distribution / transport perspective
• Ideally - previous experience and knowledge of route planning
• A really positive, can-do approach
