Role: Project Engineer

Location: Wakefield

Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday – Friday)

Salary: Competitive   



This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Engineer to join a global, well-established reusable packaging company, working on projects based across the UK and Ireland.



As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for:


  • Managing multiple engineering projects across existing and upcoming sites
  • Leading and managing projects from the very beginning of the process, right through to delivery
  • Ensuring quality, time, cost, and legislation adherence is in place and abided too
  • Organize schedules in line with operational demand and business strategy
  • The management of PPM schedules, coordinating contractors and other resources required to complete the project on time
  • Ensuring highest standards of Safety, Health and environment are put at the forefront of projects and day to day working
  • Ensuring quality, time, cost, and legislation adherence is in place and abided too
  • Working closely with the operations manager and effectively communicating with required parties to ensure the smooth running of business
  • Providing initial plant training as required for new projects and ongoing troubleshooting
  • Implementing LEAN and Continuous improvement strategy across sites 
  • Traveling across the UK and Ireland when required; there will be times where you will need to stay away from home to implement a project on site.


To be considered for the Project Engineer role, you must:


  • A UK recognized engineering qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management
  • Knowledge and understanding of Robotics and Automation
  • Excellent people / management skills
  • Have working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar programmes
  • Hold a full UK driving license
