Head of Sales Support

Based: Berkshire - flexible working available

Up to c£50,000 + bonus & benefits

Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service to your clients?  Do you want the opportunity to lead an established team within a global business providing international mail, parcel and ecommerce solutions to a broad customer base? 

In this leadership role, you’ll be responsible for the development and performance of the sales support team; you’ll focus on developing excellent customer and sales support to ensure business growth in line with sales targets.  Working closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders, you’ll acquire new customers and will retain and develop business from existing customers.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide the interface between the customer and the operation
  • Support the sales team with business proposals, product and customer collateral
  • Provide lead generation and opportunity management
  • Work with the solutions team to provide proposals and onboarding
  • Overall responsibility for managing and developing reporting in line with business requirements
  • Perform revenue protection checks to identify potential lost revenue
  • Process improvement
  • Recruit, develop, coach and mentor team members
  • Main point of contact for all billing issues and queries

Qualifications, Experience & Skills – you will need the following:

  • Significant previous experience gained within a professional commercial environment - ideally in the logistics / ecommerce / mail / parcels sector
  • Solid people management and team development experience and skills
  • Customer first ethos
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Strong information presentation skills – able to use data to provide meaningful insights in a professional manner
  • Great IT skills and capabilities including an advanced level of MS Excel
  • Really strong communication skills – able to convey confidence and build trust with team members and senior-level stakeholders alike
  • Great relationship-building abilities
