Based at a large distribution centre, you will lead, motivate and develop the hygiene and sustainability team members. This role will be working days but flexibility will be required.
Raise standards and achieve KPI’s for cost service and peopleMaintenance of good colleague relationships including trade union representativesSupport welfare, security, health and safety of team membersManage budgeted hours by controlling rota’s holidays and absenceCreate and manage rotasRecruitment and ongoing training of warehouse operatives to maintain standardsEnsure all operatives have suitable and sufficient PPEEnsure all operatives have received adequate instruction/training in use of equipmentEnsure that acceptable standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience:
Management experience in a unionised environmentExperience of dealing with grievances and disciplinary issuesExperience of a customer service environmentExcellent PC and organisational skillsBroad understanding of warehouse processesUnderstanding of people planning and scheduling processesKnowledge of health safety and legislative requirementsKnowledge of recycling streams, environmental & sustainability issues
