- Create and deliver the Customer Proposition for a major, multi million pounds business category, ultimately driving sales, increasing market share and profit.
- Own and deliver Category Trading plans to deliver the Customer Proposition, thereby driving category growth.
- Accountability for and drive the implementation of the range within the business
- Be accountable for the Price Position of the category
- Be the authority on Product detail, specification and performance
- Gain and develop market, competitor and product knowledge to influence Category performance
- Generate reports and analyse data to act on/ make recommendations on Range, Pricing, Sales Plans, Promotions
- Support the Category Assistants, in their role as the first line of contact for internal customers and stakeholders
- Represent Category Function at Operational and other Business’ meetings, deputise for Director as necessary
- Build and maintain successful relationships at all levels within the business and with customers
