Our client is a well known high street retailer and has a vacancy for an Assistant Demand Forecasting Analyst.

• Create and monitor the demand forecasts that drive/feed company Financial Planning, Stock Budgeting, Capacity Planning and Store/DC replenishment.

• Support the Forecasting Analyst in research projects designed to improve the accuracy of corporate demand forecasts.

• Provide the Merchandise Division with analytical support specifically relating to stock, forecasts, and demand issues.

• Maintain departmental databases with the support of the Merchandise Assistant, and where possible validate the data therein.

• Provide the Trading and Central Stock teams with pre and post Flyer Analysis.

Experience Required
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience

• Educated to degree standard in a numerical/statistical discipline.
• PC literate – with solid grasp of spreadsheets and databases.
• Highly numerate and analytical with strong problem solving skills.
• Good communication and influencing skills
• Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
• Good team player
