Procurement Consultant / Category Manager - Midlands or London
Description
Our client is a dynamic team of Procurement Management Specialists that deliver auditable cost base reduction to clients in both private and public sectors. They have a wide range of procurement experience across many industries including manufacturing, distribution, retail, hospitality and the service sector with particular expertise within the food service industry.
Within a culture that is hardworking, supportive and fun you will work with Blue Chip clients to deliver measurable improvement to their purchasing function. Specifically you will:
• Manage a portfolio of client projects achieving agreed timings and targets especially in regard to cost savings.
• Develop and agree clear category strategies, challenging traditional thinking and bringing leading edge supply chain expertise.
• Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
• Conduct tenders, negotiate contracts and manage Reverse Auctions in order to deliver objectives
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships that sit outside any one client relationship
• Assist in the development of new tools and processes that will enhance our clients’ service delivery.
Experience Required
A procurement professional with experience in a major UK or international company you will be able to demonstrate category management success within food, drink or services/indirect industry. Project Management and Process Re-engineering skills are vital as is the ability to work cross functionally in order to deliver complex change.
