Our client is looking for a Control Room Manager to provide a single point of accountability for the end to end operational process within their new DC.
Facilitate the knowledge transfer to the control room operational team and offer support and guidance during site commissioning and ramp-up.
Manage the day to day delivery of the solution for the Control Room to an agreed plan.
Play a key role during the testing phase to ensure site delivery is to the design specification and meets business requirements.
Perform the day to day operational management role after go live, delivering optimal performance through people, process, systems, infrastructure, and KPIs for both the site, and the business as a whole
Support the effective implementation, execution and maintenance of automation and associated systems.
The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills
Essential
Operations management experience in relation to automated retail distribution or automated production
Ability to prioritize and schedule tasks under pressured environments
Self motivated with the ability to work to demanding deadlines
Strong presentation, communication and influencing skills at all levels
Strong numeric and analytical skills - ideally these skill will be at a coaching level
Requirements Definition Ability & Process Design skills
Strong people management and team building skills
Desirable
Experience of Control Room operations in the domain of automated warehouse or automated production
Previous new site testing and start-up experience within retail Supply Chain operations or production facilities.
Previous experience of working with Knapp
Experience of Process 7 or 6 Sigma methodology
Experience Required
