This is an exciting and challenging role for an individual to lead and manage people and processes, delivering site operational targets whilst embracing a culture of operational excellence. You will be pivotal to the continued success of this state of the art distribution centre.
You’ll play a key role in delivering a great customer experience and best in class service through coaching, engaging and empowering managers and colleagues, and driving standards in quality, efficiency and accuracy, working across all areas of this vast warehouse/distribution centre.
You will also have responsibility for the following:
Set up and define the department strategy (short and long-term plan, inc peak)Be the operations stakeholder for change for the departmentSuccession planning for and development of Team Managers and Team CoordinatorsRegular one to one with direct reports and review objectivesTake accountability for department costs and KPI’s
The successful candidate will be experienced in modern day warehouse operations, having managed large teams, and will need to be able to contribute to and drive implementation of strategic objectives and have excellent stakeholder management skills. Experience of managing significant change, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities is required.
This is a Monday – Friday role but will requires flexibility for business needs when require.
