Use demand forecasting software to calculate inventory requirements to satisfy demand for assigned product categories
Raise and place purchase orders with suppliers – and monitor and report progress
Create consignments to enable stock receipt in DC
Ensure account has been taken of new products, promotions and changes in rate of sale.
Identify overstocks and communicate to Marketing and Sales departments in relevant markets
Prepare, report and communicate forecasting and inventory KPIs
Proactively facilitate cross departmental and market best practice in relation to inventory management and control
Manage inventory targets as set by management
Carry out from time to time and as directed, any other duties as required in addition to the above that will be both reasonable and within your capabilities.
Ensure that at all times you take care of your health and safety and that of others by complying with health and safety obligations, particularly by reporting promptly any defects, risks or potential hazards.
The ideal candidate will have excellent inventory / supply chain management skills together with knowledge of analysing demand forecasts. Strong Excel skills are a must for this role.
