MVP’s client is currently going through an exciting period of development and transformation and has an exciting role for a Network Planning Analyst.
They have a large and complex distribution network and the network planning team plays a crucial business role by taking ultimate responsibility for forecasting volumes, throughput and capacity plans for the the whole of the DC network, which includes all transport functions, inbound freight and the warehouse and distribution sites across the UK.
Build network site plans, with insight/commentary where relevantLiaise with relevant operations team members to ensure latest capacities are reflected Liaise with Allocation teams, E2E Supply Chain Planning, BU SCM teams, operations team and network site specialists to optimise flows and ensure capacity breaches are mitigatedConduct analysis and data extraction/manipulation to support scenario modelling to enable decision makingBuild reports to enable regular analysis and measurement of forecast accuracyHighlight all risks and issues in the production of forecasts and plans to their line managementProvide timely and accurate report queries and all 'ad-hoc' analysis to support the planning processProvide meaningful and insightful data to inform the decision-making process across Network and Resource Planning processesSupport the planning managers in their day to day activities
The ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills:
Experience of working within the retail industry would be an advantage, either for a retailer direct or for a 3pl on a retail contractExperience of supply chain/logistics would be an advantageStrong excel skills are essential
Excellent communication skills and capabilities in relationship building and stakeholder management
