General Manager – 3PL, Distribution
Salary up to c£60k + company car/bonus/pension
MVP’s client, an award-winning national distribution business, is currently seeking to appoint a General Manager to take overall responsibility for all operations at its West Midlands site. In this key role, you will manage all operations at the depot, encompassing warehousing, transport and added value logistics services. Working with an experienced management team, you will use your passion and commitment to drive performance at the site and provide a first class service to its clients.
As General Manager you will provide inspirational leadership to a team of transport and warehouse staff in a dynamic distribution operation. You will have full P&L responsibility and will be accountable for maintaining and improving on operational KPI’s. A serious focus on the maintenance and evolution of excellent safety standards is also a pre-requisite.
Candidates for this role will have previous experience of successfully managing distribution operations, ideally within a “shared user”, multi customer operation. You must also possess exceptional management and leadership qualities in order to motivate, inspire and develop your operational teams. You’ll be very commercially focussed and will have an instinctive “feel” for numbers and what is profitable. A CPC qualification is essential. The business is actively looking for an individual who can continually improve operations at the site, bringing knowledge of best practice and managing change to achieve their overall growth plans.
