MVP’s client, a global logistics business with operations in over 160 countries, is currently looking to appoint a forward-thinking warehouse management professional to manage a newly acquired contract within one of its divisions.  In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing the performance of the warehouse operation, providing clear leadership and direction and ensuring compliance to Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental policies at the site.  You’ll be the main point of contact for the customer and will identify and drive ongoing continuous improvement opportunities. 


Key Responsibilities


Provide effective management control through effective planning, organisation, control and communication to ensure that all KPI’s in relation to profit and service are achieved.Maintain an optimal level of operational efficiency and resources at all times, ensuring operating procedures and processes meet quality requirements and driving performance improvements through auditing processes and robust reporting mechanisms.Monitor performance and progress of employees within the contract, to ensure that all are appropriately motivated, trained and aware of the required performance standardsCreate and maintain appropriate KPI’s and service levelsCreation of cost models, ensuring budgetary requirements are met.Maintain and develop client relationsInitiate cost down plans where necessary, ensuring continuous improvement is maintained and developed.Manage the development of staff using talent management


Candidate Requirements:


Significant previous experience of managing teams in a warehouse operationExcellent leadership, interpersonal and motivational abilitiesStrong general educational standard – ideally degree levelGood analytical and numerical skills, coupled with commercial awarenessProven experience of driving a strong Health & Safety culture within your operationsIdeally - previous experience of managing budgets/P&LExperience of culture change and managing others through a change processPrevious recruitment experience, proven ability to maintain low staff turnover
